Burke Development Incorporated launched a feasibility study to determine if a spec building program would be successful in Burke County, and if so, where to locate the building. Burke County has many assets to attract new and expanding companies. However, the county lacks an inventory of available industrial buildings. Creative EDC researched local, regional, and state building inventories and building inquiry data at the local and state levels to determine the demand and supply for industrial buildings. The data were positive in support of a spec building development program in Burke County. Next, potential spec building sites were analyzed and ranked. The result is a set of recommendations for site development and building specifications.
