The Surry County Economic Development Partnership (EDP) is dedicated to promoting and facilitating economic growth and development in Surry County, North Carolina. The Surry County EDP engaged Creative EDC to facilitate the creation of a three-year strategic plan focusing on retaining and growing existing businesses, talent attraction and retention, and marketing efforts. The strategic planning process included a SWOT analysis, widespread community engagement, and application of best practices. An organizational analysis showed the need for substantial new investment in economic development for priorities like talent, product, and entrepreneurship. The strategic plan represents a renewed focus on investing for the future and promoting a vibrant and sustainable community. Implementation is being launched at the beginning of FY2024.
